When you log into your my.pressable.com, you will see that your site is either in Development Mode or Production Mode as seen below. What does this mean? Let’s start from the beginning, when you create a site with Pressable, it will launch in Development Mode, this means that caching for your site is turned off. The reason we do this is because when first launching, most people want to make many changes to really customize their sites. When the caching is off, any style, theme, plugin changes will update automatically since every time that someone visits your site, they get a fresh version from our local servers as caching is turned off.
Once you are happy and are not going to make any further changes to the design of your site for the time being, then we recommend that you put your site in Production Mode. Production mode sees to it that your site leverages the server caching and CDN that we have in place for customers to give them an extra bit of speed.
If you need to make a quick design change while in production mode, you can log into your my.pressable.com control panel and click on the “Purge Cache” button, which clears cache on our servers and with our CDN provider.
